Truss for Prolapsed Vagina.
After replacement of the prolapsed vagina, a truss has been placed to keep it in place. A pony halter has been used to anchor the truss to the front quarters of the doe.

After replacement of the prolapse, lengths of gauze have been placed as a truss on each side of the vulva. Umbilical tape cross pieces above and below the vulva keep the 2 sections of the truss in place.

As parturition approaches the vulva is swollen and edematous. The truss is still in place and should soon be removed.

Labor has started in this doe with a previous vaginal prolapse but the cervix has dilated only enough to allow passage of amniotic membrane. Occurrence of ringwomb necessitated a C-section to deliver the fetuses which were premature and did not survive.

Labor in progress. The truss used to retain a vaginal prolapse has been removed. Fluid has drained from the exposed membranes. The udder and teats are distended but the cervix has not dilated properly.
