Estrus Detection: Estrous Behavior
Vaginal Mucus.
A slight vaginal discharge of mucus is indicative of estrus, but is easily missed. The mucus is clear early in estrus but then becomes cloudy and eventually white and cheesy. This must not be misinterpreted as a sign of infection.
