Teratology: Congenital Anomalies

Penile Clitoris.
The clitoris of this intersex was enlarged to the point of resembling a penis.
Smith MC (2006)

Intersex Goat.
Close examination of the external genitalia showed this goat to be a hermaphrodite. It behaved like a buck, mounting does, and the hair on its neck stood up. Notice the absence of a prepuce.
Smith MC (2006)

Intersex Genitalia.
Small vulva and a prominent, protruding, rudimentary penis. Intersexuality is more common in polled breeds.
Drost M (1980)

Hermaphrodite.
The clitoris is enlarged in this pseudohermaphrodite. Presumably, this goat has testicular tissue, which was not verified in this instances.
Pugh DG (2007)

Intersex Genitalia.
Perineal view of a prominent clitoris and a greatly increased anogenital distance. Urine scalding has matted the hair around the vulvar opening.
Smith MC (2006)

Intersex Horns.
Phenotypic male horns in a female Boer goat. The doe has a prominent clitoris. Presumably there is testicular tissue present.
Smith MC (2010)

Kearns BM (2013)

Incomplete Cyclops.
Rare congenital anomaly in a term fetus. The orbits are partially fused. There are still two eyeballs. In addition, the nostrils are absent.
