Accidents of Gestation: Mummification

Mummification.
Twelve mummified fetuses and one unaffected fetus which subsequently died in utero, all part of the same litter. Suspected cause: Parvo virus (but not confirmed in this case).

Multiple Mummies.
Multiple firm masses of different sizes could be palpated within the uterus.

Uterus Full of Mummies.
Some fetuses died and started to mummify earlier than others, based on their relative sizes. The uterus was opened at various locations to demonstrated the different sizes.
