Vaginal folds.
Vagina of a sexually mature lactating harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). The animal is positioned in a dorsal recumbency. The reproductive tract was opened with an incision along the central midline. The vagina is divided into a cranial and caudal region by a prominent vaginal fold that runs the circumference of the lumen. The cranial vagina has several small vaginal folds. The caudal vagina has a few vaginal folds proximate to the largest vaginal fold. Part of the cranial vagina was removed in this image.
