Bisected uterine horns.
Uterine horns of a sexually mature lactating harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). The animal is positioned in a dorsal recumbency. The uterine horns and uterus have been bisected to illustrate the distension and lack of striations common in sexually mature animals. Although the fetus was held in only one horn, both horns are about equally distended.
